A Little Gust of Windsnes: Calvin's Dedication

We had Calvin dedicated at church this past week. He had quite the turnout. All of his grandparents were there. All of his great-grandparents in the area were there. All of his aunts and uncles, except one... one great-aunt and one great-uncle... plus lots of friends.

It was a very sweet service. There were four babies dedicated, Calvin went last. Pastor Daniel had some very sweet things to say about him. He said that all babies are a gift from the Lord, but some babies are a specific answer to prayer; and that Calvin was an answer to many years of prayer. This made me tear up, as it is so true. What a blessing he has been to Shane and I, and our families. My heart grows more and more every day as I fall more in love with my little man. He is our little gift from God. We are just so thankful to God for giving him to us and entrusting us with his care.

The life verse that Shane and I chose for Calvin is Psalm 107:8-9
Oh, that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness,
And for His wonderful works to the children of men!
For He satisfies the longing soul,
And fills the hungry soul with goodness.
